BPI Real Estate, a leading developer in Luxembourg, Belgium, and Poland, faced the challenge of meeting ambitious carbon reduction targets for its flagship ROOTS project. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor One Click LCA and utilized its new LCBI Tool, a solution designed to measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions throughout a building's life cycle.

Using One Click LCA's LCBI Tool enabled seamless collaboration and detailed carbon impact analysis from the design phase onward. This allowed BPI Real Estate to optimize material choices and construction methods, resulting in a 31% reduction in embodied carbon and Europe's first LCBI Excellence certification for the ROOTS project. The embodied carbon reductions achieved are equivalent to nearly 35 years of the complex’s operational carbon emissions.
