Bonava, a leading residential development company building sustainable houses across Northern Europe, needed a better way to measure and reduce the embodied carbon in its homes as part of its Science-Based Targets to cut climate impact by 50% by 2030. The company’s biggest emissions came from Scope 3 Purchased Goods and Services, making materials and life cycle analysis critical to progress.

Bonava uses One Click LCA to analyze building materials, compare design options, and support climate declarations across its markets, including Sweden and Norway. With One Click LCA’s user-friendly platform, large database, and national tools, Bonava was able to identify that alternative slab and top-layer solutions could reduce climate impact by about 35%, while also improving supplier EPD data and enabling better tracking of embodied carbon.
