Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy firm, was tasked with improving a motorway junction in the UK's southwest region with the key objective of meeting climate change requirements and delivering a solution in keeping with the local environment. To help achieve this, Arcadis used One Click LCA's life-cycle assessment software as part of an internal pilot to integrate carbon assessments early in the design process.

Using One Click LCA, Arcadis was able to optimize material choices via its extensive EPD database and perform scenario analyses integrated with Autodesk Revit. This solution enabled the project to achieve an expected 30% reduction in carbon emissions compared to its baseline, avoiding approximately 26,700 metric tons of CO2e. One Click LCA's tools helped Arcadis track progress, ensure compliance, and steer the project towards a more sustainable path with significant cost and carbon savings.
