Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture - Customer Case Study

Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture used One Click LCA to help its sustainability team track and reduce embodied carbon across major projects, including the Al Wasl Plaza development for Dubai Expo 2020. The firm’s challenge was to meet ambitious life cycle carbon targets while working within local code requirements and the constraints of large-scale building and infrastructure design.

With One Click LCA, Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture benchmarked materials, set embodied carbon targets, tracked project performance, and supported LEED and CEEQUAL documentation using EPD data and the Carbon Designer tool. The approach drove significant results: the team exceeded its 30% GWP reduction goal, achieving 38% to 51% lower emissions on the buildings and 34% lower emissions on the trellis, while also saving more than 55 tons of CO2 through design optimization and low-carbon material choices.
