One Beyond Takes ICE’s New Engineering Contract Digital with Online Compiler & Client Self-Service Portal

NEC Contracts, part of the UK's Institution of Civil Engineers, faced the challenge of digitizing its decades-old suite of construction contracts. They needed to move beyond selling static PDFs to create a convenient, collaborative online platform for contract creation and management, aiming to deliver this new digital service quickly. They partnered with One Beyond to develop a business web application.

One Beyond created a secure, cloud-based online compiler and self-service portal using .NET Core, Azure, and Vue.js. The solution, integrated with Salesforce, allows for collaborative authoring and controlled access to contracts. The project was successfully delivered despite a pandemic-related delay, resulting in a system that makes clients' lives easier and more efficient by keeping all contract elements in one place with a clear audit trail.
