WaterAid, an international charity headquartered in London, faced a challenge in responsibly managing over £30 million in annual grants across 35 countries. Their original manual system, reliant on Microsoft Excel, was unable to efficiently track spending or provide the transparent reporting required to maintain donor trust and comply with international initiatives. To address this, they collaborated with vendor One Beyond to develop a new global solution.

One Beyond implemented a web-based Restricted Income System built using Microsoft ASP.NET and SQL Server. This robust solution provides live reporting on grants and outcomes, is accessible in areas with intermittent internet, and supports multiple languages. The system has given WaterAid significantly improved visibility into funds and future income, enabling better project planning and strengthening supporter trust through transparent operations.
