Sudan Having a Very Own Uber. Story of Tirhal taxi

Tirhal, an Uber-inspired taxi hailing company in Sudan, faced the challenge of building a reliable and modern transportation service in a market with an underdeveloped and unregulated system. Their primary hurdles included eliminating pre-ride fare bargaining, attracting serious drivers while weeding out fake applications, and ensuring a high quality of service. To address this, they turned to the vendor Onde and implemented its all-in-one ride-hailing platform.

The Onde platform provided the solution with features for clear fare estimation and driver management. Tirhal used it to implement a $5 refundable registration fee to deter non-serious drivers and introduced a driver leaderboard to promote earnings transparency. Furthermore, they established an educational center to train drivers and utilized Onde's cancellation fee function to improve reliability. As a result, Tirhal scaled to over 2,000 cars and was receiving 20 new driver applications per day within seven months, solidifying its position as a market leader.
