PZU Lithuania Life Insurance, part of the PZU Group, needed to keep serving customers during the COVID-19 pandemic as branch closures disrupted in-person operations and slowed new sales. To maintain business continuity and support remote customer onboarding, PZU partnered with Ondato to add secure digital identity verification and KYC to its insurance process.

Ondato delivered a custom solution within two weeks, giving PZU three onboarding options through a single dashboard: identity verification via integrated API and static URL, verification by PZU staff through API, and minor onboarding. The platform handled selfie and ID document checks, parental consent for minors, registry screening, and fraud detection with KYC specialist review, helping PZU issue policies remotely and continue operating effectively during the pandemic.
