1001pneus, the No.2 online tyre retailer in France, faced a classic SEO challenge: Googlebot was wasting crawl budget on low-value pages, leaving strategic product and category pages under-crawled. To monitor and manage Google’s crawling behavior they engaged OnCrawl and used OnCrawl’s log analysis / SEO log analyzer to track bot hits, unique crawled pages, crawl frequency and category-level behavior.
Using OnCrawl’s log analysis, 1001pneus identified that a group of “useless” pages was capturing more than a third of Google’s crawl. By blocking those pages from crawling and improving internal linking to priority pages, they freed crawl time and gradually increased crawl frequency on strategic pages; OnCrawl’s SEO impact reports also exposed active pages not being crawled so they could be linked. The result was clearer crawl allocation to important pages and better ongoing monitoring via OnCrawl.
