Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, a 208-bed specialist cardiothoracic centre in Liverpool, wanted to create one complete electronic medical record, eliminate paper hospital-wide, and automate manual processes while keeping seamless integration with Allscripts to reach HIMSS Stages 6–7 and maintain top patient-care performance.

The trust implemented OnBase enterprise content management integrated with Allscripts Sunrise, using eForms and automated workflows accessible as a simple tab in the EPR.
