Noridian Healthcare Solutions, a Fargo-based Medicare payer serving millions of beneficiaries and nearly 300,000 providers, faced slow, paper-based processes that made it difficult to meet Medicare regulations, serve customers quickly across multiple offices, and maintain required security and systems integration. The organization needed a secure, easily integrated solution that could be configured and updated rapidly to keep pace with CMS and HIPAA changes.

Working with Databank, Noridian implemented Hyland’s OnBase to centralize and automate workflows for more than 1,000 users. OnBase eliminated paper handling and routed faxed correspondence directly into secure workflows, automated 20 key processes, improved data accuracy and training speed, reduced staffing needs (saving about $600,000 annually and 400 hours per month in one area), and delivered faster, more consistent customer responses and stronger compliance visibility.
