A OnBase Case Study
Suncoast Credit Union, a Tampa-based financial cooperative serving hundreds of thousands of members, faced slowing member service due to paper-based processes. Although it implemented Hyland’s OnBase in 2000 to capture documents electronically, the credit union’s 2014 conversion from a federal to a state charter created a need to ensure processes could scale and support continued growth and broader membership.
Suncoast deployed OnBase across 54 locations—giving 1,500+ users access to ~550 million documents—and built 150+ workflows to automate tasks and route information. Integrations with core systems (Summit, Symitar Episys, FedLine Direct) and front-end capture streamlined operations; for example, automated wire workflows cut processing from one hour to three minutes. The result: faster, simpler processes, better member service, stronger compliance and audit readiness, and a scalable platform that supports growth with limited additional investment.
