Construction Resources Management (CRM), a shared-services center for a family of heavy‑highway construction group headquartered in Waukesha, WI, was processing more than 86,000 invoices a year across scattered offices. Reliance on mailed paper invoices and manual coding created lost documents, coding errors, long approval times and no real visibility into invoice status, and HR files were likewise trapped in paper.
Working with Naviant, CRM implemented OnBase integrated with Oracle JD Edwards so staff select validated accounting codes, upload invoices directly to JDE, and use automated, hierarchical approvals with notifications, escalations and mobile sign‑off. The change centralized HR records, sped approvals and payments (avoiding late fees), eliminated mailing and seasonal data‑entry costs, increased visibility into outstanding invoices and improved service to vendors.
