Xfernet brings ActiveGrid cloud online with OnApp

Xfernet, a managed hosting provider founded in 1998 in downtown Los Angeles, needed a cloud platform it could trust to support enterprise customers in the U.S. and abroad. Its previous AppLogic-based environment was no longer being developed in a way that let the company guarantee service levels, so Xfernet looked for a stable replacement and selected OnApp.

Using OnApp, Xfernet launched its ActiveGrid cloud services with public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid hosting options, along with integrated storage, autoscaling, load balancing, and auto-healing. The company said OnApp made implementation much easier, with its cloud up and running in 24 hours, and support response times of 15 minutes instead of 24 hours on the previous platform.
