SpeedySparrow takes to the cloud with OnApp

SpeedySparrow is a hosting provider founded in 2006 that needed a more scalable and automated way to meet rising demand for shared, VPS, and reseller hosting. As traditional products reached their limits and VPS demand grew, the company looked for a cloud-based system and turned to OnApp after an earlier virtualization platform proved unstable and difficult to manage.

With OnApp, SpeedySparrow built a shared hosting environment in the cloud that could handle shared, VPS, and other services without one affecting the others. The implementation took about a month, integrated with its WHMCS billing platform, and was managed in-house. SpeedySparrow said it saw real growth after the OnApp cloud went live in May 2011, and it also added new Litespeed services on the platform.
