Shift To The Cloud takes on the cloud giants with OnApp

Shift To The Cloud, a division of Stone Internet Services, wanted to offer an enterprise cloud service at an affordable price for the Belgian market and beyond. Its customers included companies with unpredictable demand, such as web and marketing agencies, software developers, and festival organizers, who needed flexible cloud capacity without paying for 24x7 resources.

Using OnApp Cloud software, Shift To The Cloud launched a configurable cloud server and virtual cloud data center service in December 2011. Four months later, the new OnApp cloud was already generating half of the company’s growth, while also giving the company autoscaling, pre-configured OS templates, and CDN services for customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, and other countries.
