Fortress Cloud launches Private Cloud-as-a-Service, running on OnApp and Dell

Fortress Cloud used OnApp Cloud to launch a private cloud-as-a-service offering for enterprises and systems integrators. The company wanted to give customers a way to deploy private clouds without a large up-front investment in hardware and software, while also helping SIs enter the cloud market and compete more effectively.

With OnApp and Dell, Fortress Cloud built a turnkey private cloud appliance that combines cloud management, orchestration and provisioning with support and integration services. The platform was deployed across Europe and in markets including Haiti, Guatemala, Nairobi and Shanghai, and one customer reported space and electricity savings of €300,000 per annum.
