Sony enlisted Onalytica to support its Influencer Relationship Management program for IFA 2014 in Berlin. The goal was clear: generate more online discussion and product mentions around Sony’s new wearable tech, smartphones and tablets than any competing brand.

Onalytica used its IRM platform to map and profile global influencers (bloggers, journalists, analysts and celebrities), deliver daily notification alerts, and surface Tier‑2 influencers to invite to Sony’s pre‑event briefing. The approach drove measurable uplifts — Sony saw a pronounced spike in mentions during IFA (including 141 new topic posts from 29 influencers in a single day), achieved the most coverage on the pre‑event day, increased its market share of voice and topped Onalytica’s influencer rankings for the event.
