One Call Now Grant Helps Congregation Stay Connected and Rebuild After Fire

B’nai Adath Kol Beth Yisrael is a historic Brooklyn synagogue serving more than 200 members and a range of neighborhood outreach programs. After an accidental roof fire destroyed their building in November 2017, leaders needed a more robust way to keep displaced congregants informed, maintain community ties, and promote a rebuild fundraising campaign.

The synagogue received a One Call Now Communities of Faith Grant, providing two years of the One Call Now messaging service (phone, email and text) with full support. The multi-channel system proved easy for members of all ages, expanded the reach beyond the core membership, and helped keep the congregation united and engaged as they work to rebuild.
