University of Wollongong use Omnivex Digital Signage software to improve the engagement of students, visitors and the surrounding community

The University of Wollongong needed a way to deliver timely, visually engaging information to students, visitors and the wider community across its large campus while coordinating content from multiple faculties and business units. To meet that challenge UoW selected Omnivex and its digital signage platform (Omnivex Moxie, supported by Omnivex DataPipe) to drive a network of public-facing LCD and plasma displays for news, alerts, parking, weather and other departmental updates.

Omnivex implemented Moxie and DataPipe to provide real-time data integration, multi-zone layouts, playlists and business-rule automation, streamlining content creation and distribution. The Omnivex solution automated much of the day-to-day management, delivered “set-and-forget” updating, improved coordination of messaging across campus, increased awareness and engagement with digital media, produced measurable time savings for staff and prompted plans to expand the system.
