Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Canada’s second-busiest airport preparing to serve 25 million passengers by 2020, needed a flexible, real-time visual communications solution to deliver multilingual operational messages, dynamic wayfinding, flight information, TV programming and weather across its terminals. To meet these requirements YVR selected Omnivex, initially deploying Omnivex Display Management Software and later upgrading to Omnivex Moxie.

Omnivex worked with YVR to integrate Omnivex Moxie and connectors (Omnivex DataPipe, XMLLink and SQLLink) with YVR’s flight databases and external feeds, and added Omnivex QuickLink for remote, 24/7 content updates. The deployment streams TV over the network, dynamically routes connecting passengers, supports multiple languages and centralizes content management for 1,100 displays—resulting in faster information updates, reduced passenger anxiety and dwell time, improved passenger satisfaction and fewer connection delays using Omnivex’s platform.
