J.D. Irving, a diverse, family-owned enterprise with forest products, transportation, manufacturing and retail operations, needed a way to deliver timely, actionable business information to everyone from executives to shop-floor employees. After evaluating options, J.D. Irving selected Omnivex to provide a scalable digital signage solution (including Omnivex Moxie and Omnivex DataPipe) that could access data from multiple operational systems, format it for different displays, be easily managed by business units, and grow across the enterprise.
Omnivex implemented digital signage at a sawmill (displays in three operational areas) using Omnivex Link/DataPipe, Display Director and Omnivex Web to aggregate KPIs, drive dynamic visual templates and enable interactive controls. The system gave employees real-time visibility into production and corporate messages, reduced reliance on outdated bulletin boards, and allowed non‑IT staff to manage content. The Omnivex deployment has been adopted in eight other J.D. Irving companies, enabling centralized monitoring of key indicators and measurable expansion across the organization.
