High Liner Foods Incorporated, a North American processor and marketer of frozen seafood, needed a better way to communicate company news, production data and events to employees after surveys showed staff wanted more timely information. With a large, modern Lunenburg plant and hundreds of employees across Canada and the U.S., High Liner chose Omnivex digital signage to create a “High Liner TV” that HR could easily manage and keep automated and scalable.

Omnivex implemented its Display solution (Display Director, DataPipe, SQLLink, XMLLink, WebPad and Control) so HR and operations could schedule templates, pull live sales, inventory and production figures, push PowerPoint and local messages, and monitor screens remotely. The Omnivex system delivered measurable benefits: employees report positive feedback and better awareness of company operations, the system supports wellness and initiatives programs, it’s kept fresh with frequent updates, and the rollout has expanded from Lunenburg into High Liner’s U.S. facility.
