Preview of the John Glenn Columbus International Airport Case Study

Airport uses digital signage to improve traveler experience

John Glenn Columbus International Airport, serving over 6 million passengers a year, undertook an $80 million renovation and wanted to expand its digital signage network to improve passenger communications and wayfinding. The airport chose Omnivex and its Omnivex Moxie software (with channel partner Radiant Technology) to provide a single platform for videowalls, ticket‑counter signage and other visual communications across the terminal.

Omnivex implemented Omnivex Moxie across food‑court screens, a 48‑screen videowall (improving resolution fourfold), two 44 × 14 ft ultra‑HD direct‑view LED videowalls over Terminals A & C, and 62 touchscreen‑updatable ticket counter displays driven by Omnivex Moxie Players. The solution delivers pixel‑perfect flight information, ads and traveler messaging, enables quick airline updates at counters, and has produced very positive feedback—clearer information in the ticket lobby, anticipated higher satisfaction scores, and advertising revenues up more than 50%.
