SOMERS, a specialist company in slitting, flattening, and trading of cold rolled precision strapping, faced the challenge of migrating its desktop client/server application to a modern web and mobile interface. The project, undertaken with vendor Omnis using Omnis Studio, required a complete redesign, a migration of proprietary data to a PostgreSQL database, and the integration of new functionality while maintaining performance and improving the user experience.

The solution implemented by Omnis involved rebuilding the production and commercial management ERP as a web application. This allowed for efficient remote deployment, reduced paper usage through integrated PDF reporting, and streamlined information flow between departments. The results were significant, with Omnis enabling a tenfold improvement in processing times for mass publishing and providing a robust, agile platform perfectly adapted to each of the company's business lines.
