Kälte + Shop Service GmbH (KSS), a German service company, needed a powerful data management system to handle approximately 10,000 orders and coordinate over 250 service companies annually for maintaining retail refrigeration and shop fittings. Their challenge was that none of the database programs they initially tested could satisfy their exact requirements for managing this complex service operation.

The solution from Omnis was a custom application built with Omnis Studio and a MySQL database. This allowed KSS to develop their own web solution for complete business management and customer order entry. The key results were the great flexibility in creating forms and reports and the significant reduction in development time, as the same application could be deployed for both desktop and web use without changes to the user interface.
