The International Wire & Cable Symposium (IWCS), founded in 1952, wanted to better leverage its technical conference content but had not yet fully embraced digital tools for event execution. Working with Omnipress, IWCS faced the challenge of increasing visibility and attendance for its annual conference while preserving the value of its printed proceedings for attendees.
Omnipress helped IWCS create a blended conference strategy by updating the event website, building a searchable content library of current and archived proceedings, and launching a mobile conference app with handouts, schedules, speaker details, and attendee profiles. As a result, attendees prepared more in advance and participated more actively in sessions, while IWCS expanded the reach and visibility of its conference content to prospective attendees and the broader industry.
