A Omnigo Case Study
Hennepin EMS, working alongside other Twin Cities EMS agencies, needed a way to coordinate a large multi-jurisdiction response for Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis. The 10-day event included more than 200 events across multiple cities, counties, and even sovereign tribal land, creating a need for broad situational awareness, location-specific tracking, and quick access to pre-plans and response plans. Omnigo’s Incident Management software, powered by Rhodium, was the platform used to support this effort.
Omnigo enabled EMS command staff to import existing IAPs and pre-plan data, train users quickly, and manage resources and activity reports in real time. Mapping layers gave teams instant visibility into resource locations and status, while spontaneous events like protest marches could be added and monitored block by block. The result was improved situational awareness across the event footprint and better incident response, including efficient route identification and crew backfilling during a 25-car pile-up northwest of Minneapolis the day before the Super Bowl.
