The Medford Police Department in Medford, Oregon needed to upgrade its evidence management to reduce repetitive officer work, eliminate paper, and improve reporting. Evidence Supervisor Rhonda Buma pursued an upgrade to Evidence TraQ (originally from QueTel, now part of Omnigo) to gain ad hoc queries, management reports, and electronic workflows that would streamline evidence handling and federal/state reporting.
Omnigo delivered a 100% browser-based Evidence TraQ implementation that interfaces with the department’s RMS, enabling electronic notifications for corrections, court-overdue alerts, email follow-ups with officers, and a fully electronic evidence-purging process. The solution made evidence management virtually paperless, removed duplication, freed shelf space, and saved officers and property room staff significant time—prompting one veteran officer to call it “the most sensible computer program we’ve deployed.”
