City of Plano Uses Omnigo Incident Management Software for Tactical Callouts and Adverse Weather

The City of Plano and its Department of Emergency Management were struggling to share timely incident information across multiple points, relying on a single person to input data and facing coordination challenges for special events and large-scale emergencies. To address this, the City of Plano implemented Omnigo’s Incident Management solution (Rhodium-powered Omnigo Command and Planning) to give stakeholders simultaneous access and editing capability during incidents.

Omnigo’s solution enabled real-time collaboration with pre-planning templates, a command board for a common operating picture, and customizable Incident Action Plans tailored to roles and events. As a result, Plano now uses Omnigo on all SWAT callouts and major events like the Plano Balloon Fest and 4th of July Celebration, reduced staffing needs for event management, and supported multi-jurisdictional response planning after an EF4 tornado in Garland using the Omnigo platform.
