AliveCor, a market leader in FDA-cleared mobile ECG technology, launched the compact KardiaMobile Card and faced the challenge of promoting the new device on its website without cannibalizing sales of its existing products. The goal was to drive awareness and conversions for the new SKU while maintaining the overall product mix.

Omniconvert tested a simple, high-impact solution: a gold “New” badge on the KardiaMobile Card tile in the product listing and on the product detail page. The variation delivered a 25.17% increase in conversion rate and a 29.58% rise in revenue per user (99.4% chance to win), performed well on desktop and mobile, and was kept live after launch as an effective, low-effort way to boost sales.
