The Cottonwood Hotel revives its brand and pool club with OMFGCO

OMFGCO was engaged by The Cottonwood Hotel, a historic property in Omaha, Nebraska, to revive its brand for the modern traveler. The challenge was to return the hotel to its original grandeur and position it once again at the center of the city's social scene, while retaining the building's original elegance. This comprehensive rebranding also included creating new identities for the hotel's outdoor pool bar and restaurant.

To solve this, OMFGCO developed a full brand identity inspired by the hotel's history. The solution included a strategy, naming, a visual identity featuring a cottonwood leaf monogram, brand guidelines, collateral, signage, and wayfinding. They created adjacent, playful identities for the Pool Club and restaurant. OMFGCO successfully delivered a contemporary brand that balances the hotel's sophisticated history with a modern sensibility.
