US Merchandise, Inc., a Long Island–based distributor of household products, was hampered by a 20‑year‑old System/36 application that limited distribution efficiency, inventory control and accounting. Seeking an efficient order‑to‑fulfillment cycle, a paperless office and wider access to sales and financial data, US Merchandise engaged OmegaCube Technologies and its PowerERP solution.

OmegaCube implemented PowerERP (meeting about 90% of needs out of the box with add‑ons) and deployed handheld POS, EDI and online reporting to streamline operations. The deployment improved warehouse and inventory management, sped replenishment (boosting sales), made sales and financial data available in real time, cut paper use by 30%, and reduced accounting/sales analysis work to less than half — all delivered by OmegaCube Technologies’ PowerERP implementation.
