South African Retailer Optimizes the Handling of their Staff with Omada

South Africa’s Largest Online Home Shopping Retailer, a major e‑commerce and homeware group with a full‑time workforce of 2200+ and large numbers of seasonal staff, faced a complex challenge: rapidly onboarding and offboarding users across on‑premises and cloud systems while limiting access, maintaining accurate records, controlling Active Directory accounts, and meeting POPI Act compliance. Working with local partner Integralis, the retailer selected Omada to deliver an identity and access governance solution (Omada Identity) to address these lifecycle, entitlement and auditability issues.

Omada implemented identity lifecycle management, access request, and role and policy management processes that identify orphaned AD accounts, enable managers to assign or remove owners, and ensure new employees receive correct permissions from day one. As a result, Omada has drastically reduced incidents logged for missing permissions, simplified audits with historic event reporting for compliance, and given the retailer confidence in protecting critical data while maintaining productivity across its 2200+ workforce.
