British Transport Police doubles minority applicants with Oleeo

The British Transport Police (BTP), the national police force for the railways in England, Scotland, and Wales, faced a significant challenge in recruiting a diverse workforce to better reflect the communities it serves. With over 550 vacancies to fill annually, the BTP struggled to attract applicants and was particularly keen to increase applications from women and black minority ethnic candidates. They partnered with vendor Oleeo to implement its Diversity Recruitment Software for Police to help streamline their high-volume recruitment.

Oleeo's solution reshaped the BTP's recruitment process by streamlining applications from attraction to onboarding and providing tools to monitor diversity performance. The implementation allowed the force to double the number of successful female and black and minority ethnic applicants. Oleeo also provided powerful management information and a more candidate-friendly experience, helping the BTP meet its organizational goals and diversity targets.
