Dallas Arboretum installs 120 interactive touchscreens with The Old State

The Dallas Arboretum, a premier nature destination, faced the challenge of integrating interactive marketing technology into its new Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden. With a tight deadline of just a few months, they needed to source, fabricate, and install 120 durable outdoor touchscreen displays and develop nearly a thousand interactive educational games for them. They engaged The Old State to manage this complex project from concept to completion.

The Old State executed an aggressive plan, sourcing weatherproof and child-resistant hardware while simultaneously designing and coding a variety of game types, including match and trivia games. They also implemented their Governor software, a content management system that allows the Arboretum staff to easily manage and update the content on each screen. The solution was a success, resulting in the installation of all 120 touchscreens housed within creatively designed enclosures, enhancing the educational experience for the garden's young visitors.
