Hard Rock International — with more than 190 venues, 144 cafes, 21 hotels and 10 casinos in 58 countries — wanted to bring fans back to hardrock.com by showcasing authentic user-generated content (UGC) across its four business units. The challenge was creating an interactive, scalable way to capture, moderate and display fan photos that would give “fame and glory” to customers while driving traffic and engagement across the main site and ecommerce pages.

Hard Rock partnered with Olapic to capture, moderate, publish and monetize visual UGC, integrating content on the homepage and Rock Shop product pages. In the three months after launch the program collected over 99,000 consumer photos, drove 3.6 million impressions, and produced a 2.1× increase in conversion rates among visitors who interacted with UGC, meeting and exceeding the brand’s objectives.
