American Eagle Outfitters, a global specialty retailer known for on-trend apparel, faced the challenge of turning its large, photo-sharing social following into repeat brand contributors and identifiable ambassadors whose influential content could be used in seasonal product launches.
In August 2015 AEO adopted Olapic’s Ambassador Community to build relationships with high-value creators and access metrics on followers, engagement and revenue. The program helped AEO feature ambassadors in its #AEOStyle gallery, drove a 5x increase in user-generated photos, a 66% rise in conversions from ambassador relationships, and a 22% lift in Labor Day weekend 2015 sales versus 2014, with ambassador content central to 2015 promotions and slated for expanded use in email and social advertising.
