WeWork Chancery Lane completes a full Cat A and Cat B refurbishment in 22 weeks with Oktra

Oktra was appointed by WeWork to design and build their Chancery Lane coworking location in the heart of London's City district. The challenge was to execute a full Cat A and Cat B refurbishment of a building that was partially occupied by operational law courts, requiring careful noise mitigation. Furthermore, the space had to be completely stripped of its previous tenant's fittings and needed new infrastructure installed, all while adhering to WeWork's design principles to create an environment that promotes collaboration and creativity.

Working in close collaboration with WeWork's team, Oktra managed and built the project over 22 weeks. The solution included installing new collaborative kitchens, breakout areas, and glass walls to create a variety of effective workspaces. The interior design was uniquely inspired by the local legal history, incorporating thematic elements like timber panelling and a feature fox statue. Oktra successfully delivered a space that provides tailored working environments for a diverse range of members, solidifying their successful partnership with WeWork on this, their fourth project together.
