Wedlake Bell adds 30 employees and opens a 150-person conference area with Oktra

Wedlake Bell, a London law firm, engaged office design specialist Oktra for their relocation project. Their challenge was to move from a fragmented six-floor office to a new space that could improve internal communication and support a significant shift towards modern, flexible ways of working, which is uncommon in the traditional legal sector.

Oktra designed an open plan workspace with private booths, moving all fee-earning lawyers from cellular offices into this flexible environment. The solution enhanced facilities with a large conference area, 15 meeting suites, and a terrace. As a result, the new 35,000 sq ft office, completed in 16 weeks, accommodates 30 more employees and fosters the desired cultural change. Oktra delivered a professionally styled, light-filled space that directly supports the firm's operational goals.
