Trainline triples meeting rooms and reworks 55,000 sq ft office with Oktra

Oktra was engaged by Trainline, a leading independent rail and coach travel platform, to address an office space that no longer supported their hybrid and agile way of working. The challenge was to conduct an in-situ Cat A and Cat B fit-out of an additional floor, transforming the layout to improve functionality and space utilisation driven by staff feedback.

The solution from Oktra involved intelligent space remodelling based on deep staff engagement. By analysing workflows and moving functional spaces inward, they created a perimeter desk layout for natural light and opened window bays by removing select desks to improve circulation. Oktra installed 50 types of agile workspaces per floor, which tripled the total number of meeting rooms from 20 to 60, significantly enhancing the office's capacity to support diverse working styles.
