UK TV network switches on single identity and access channel to unify and optimise global workforce

ITV, the UK TV network behind a large global workforce and a mix of cloud and on-premises systems, was struggling with identity silos, inconsistent user data, and time-consuming manual access management. To better support provisioning, deprovisioning, and secure access across its distributed organisation, ITV turned to Okta and its Universal Directory, Single Sign-On, and Multi-Factor Authentication capabilities.

Okta helped ITV consolidate identity data, clean up discrepancies across Google Workspace, Active Directory, and HR systems, and roll out a single access portal for employees. The result was a more automated, cloud-aligned identity process, with 10,000+ users using Single Sign-On, 60 applications integrated, and 10,000+ identities managed in Universal Directory, reducing helpdesk friction and improving global access control.
