Tibber, a fast-growing energy company helping customers lower electricity costs, struggled to keep identity and access management aligned with its rapid expansion. As the workforce doubled and apps multiplied, Tibber needed a scalable way to automate user provisioning, manage joiners-movers-leavers, and strengthen security without adding manual work for its small IT team. Okta and its Identity and Access Management platform were chosen to support this growth.

Okta implemented HR-driven provisioning, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory, Single Sign-On, MFA, and Okta Workflows, integrating with Tibber’s HR system and key business apps. The results were significant: user creation was 100% automated, 38 hours of manual provisioning were eliminated, 20 birthright apps were fully automated, and onboarding time was reduced so employees could access tools on day one. Okta also helped Tibber save about $36K in productivity costs from access delays and 90% of MFA time, while enabling faster app integrations and a more secure, seamless employee experience.
