The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) needed a way to unify identity management across 22 colleges and 88 campuses so it could share resources, simplify access, and support equitable learning for about 150,000 students each year. Before Okta, identities were siloed, logins were fragmented, and IT spent hours on manual provisioning and troubleshooting across a complex mix of on-prem and cloud systems.
Okta implemented a shared identity and access management foundation for TCSG, including Okta Single Sign-On and Okta Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication, with plans for Lifecycle Management and Advanced Server Access. In less than three months, TCSG launched Phase One system-wide, achieving 100% Okta adoption for students, faculty, and staff; the rollout improved security, reduced login friction, and set up future automation to save significant time, cut errors, and improve license and account management.
