Case Study: Nexans strengthens secure access and simplifies SSO with Okta

Permanent secure access in the office and outside the intranet

Nexans, a company developing secure services across the electrification chain, needed to replace an outdated access management solution and strengthen cybersecurity while ensuring secure access for employees both inside and outside the network. The company also wanted a platform that would integrate easily with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and SaaS applications, and be simple for users to adopt. Nexans chose Okta for identity and access management.

Okta implemented an access management platform with strong authentication and SSO capabilities, supporting protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, and Kerberos. With support from Okta’s integration partner Synetis, Nexans completed the rollout in under five months: three months to production and two more to integrate apps. The result was 34 applications integrated with SSO and 14,000 user accesses secured with MFA, creating a smoother and more secure user experience.
