Larimer County needed to modernize its digital services and centralize access across a growing hybrid IT environment, while making it easier for employees and citizens to securely use online systems. The county partnered with Okta and Auth0 to simplify identity management for its 2,200 employees across 28 departments and improve access to cloud applications and public services.
Okta helped Larimer County migrate internal users to Okta Universal Directory, roll out Single Sign-On for 35 apps in less than a month, add Multi-Factor Authentication, and automate user provisioning and deprovisioning with Okta Lifecycle Management. The results included smoother employee logins, a drop in helpdesk account-access calls from about five per day to about one per month, and secure social-login access for 1,200 citizens.
