How WeTransfer unifies Identity for its global community of more than 80 million people

WeTransfer, the global file-sharing platform for more than 80 million users, needed a faster, more scalable way to manage identity across its products. It chose Okta’s Auth0 solution because it included the needed features out of the box and was developer-friendly, helping WeTransfer avoid building a centralized authentication system from scratch.

Working with Okta’s Auth0 Professional Services team, WeTransfer launched social logins in about three to four months, roughly half the time it would have taken internally. Okta’s Auth0 enabled automatic identity migration and merging into a single secure database, with Actions used to normalize profiles from different social providers, improving the user experience and helping boost freemium conversion.
