Hewlett Packard Enterprise transforms into hybrid IT-as-a-Service provider with Okta

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) was reinventing itself as a hybrid IT-as-a-Service provider through HPE GreenLake Central, but needed a secure way to manage access across software, third-party SaaS, cloud providers, and customer systems. To deliver a cloud-like experience for customers while keeping control of on-prem and hybrid environments, HPE turned to Okta and its identity and access management capabilities, including Okta ThreatInsight and integrations from the Okta Integration Network.

Okta helped HPE implement a hub-and-spoke identity architecture for GreenLake Central, automate org creation, support multi-org deployment, and enable B2B identity federation with customer directories. The results were fast and measurable: HPE reached its first demo in 28 days, went live with customers 30 days later, and completed deployment in about 60 days, while also streamlining secure access for more than 800 customers.
