Generali, one of the world’s largest insurance and asset management providers, needed to modernize its legacy on-premises environment and move securely to the cloud while supporting workforce, customer, and partner access across a complex multi-tenant business. Working with Okta and its identity and access management platform, Generali GC&C looked for a flexible, vendor-neutral solution that could scale, stay within budget, and simplify access for employees, brokers, and customers.
Okta implemented Single Sign-On, Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication, Enterprise Federation, and Lifecycle Management to secure and streamline access across Generali GC&C’s apps and portals. The results were significant: 11 core workforce apps were secured for 442 users with Okta SSO, 825 users were enrolled in Okta MFA, password reset requests dropped 80% from 50 a month to 10, and partner app access delays of 3 to 5 days were eliminated while saving 20 days of IT admin effort.
