Fintech unicorn Pleo is scaling up with Okta and dataJAR

Pleo, the fintech expense-management unicorn, was growing rapidly across Europe and doubling its workforce, but its IT team was struggling with time-consuming onboarding and offboarding, fragmented access management, and the need for stronger security and compliance. Pleo chose Okta Workforce Identity, alongside dataJAR, to unify identity processes across its many SaaS apps and support its remote-first, scaling business.

Using Okta, Pleo rolled out SSO, MFA, Fastpass, and Lifecycle Management across key applications, including Google Workspace and HR systems, while automating permissions for new hires and leavers. The results were significant: onboarding time dropped from up to two hours to five minutes, 11 applications were integrated for automated provisioning, and Pleo saved 18 hours a fortnight on onboarding while reducing service desk queries and improving governance.
